SUZANNE HOUCK - PRESIDENT AND CEO
With over twenty years of healthcare experience as consultant, provider, manager, author, and speaker Sue understands the operations of medical groups at all levels. Sue has assisted physician practices and national improvement initiatives in measurably improving the way they operate, and the way they use technology. She's the author of "What Works: Effective Tools & Case Studies To Improve Clinical Office Practice," a comprehensive book on improving ambulatory care which has received a 5 star rating from medical group users nationwide. A frequent speaker at national conferences on healthcare trends and innovations, prior to founding Houck & Associates, Sue served as a health care management consultant with KPMG, Chief Operating Officer of Critical Care Inc., ambulatory care manager for a national network, and as a nurse practitioner in university, private practice, and community health settings. She has also served on an advisory board for the American Accreditation Healthcare Commission.
CHARLES KILO, MD - ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT
Charles Kilo, MD has assisted Houck & Associates on a number of medical group and regional improvement projects. He previously served as founder and CEO of GreenField Health System and Vice President at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement where he directed the Idealized Office Redesign Collaboratives nationwide and internationally.
DEBORAH MAHON - ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT
In addition to assisting Houck & Associates, Deb served as a Vice President of several physician practice management organizations. Her responsibilities included clinic operations, overseeing 300+ employees, business development, practice management, and human resources. Deborah has also served as Chief Operating Officer for Health Services where she developed quality improvement protocols as well as performance standards for business and clinical functions.
